- Welcome to a new year at Balavihar. This year, the Sevikas for the KG section 2 are Jayashree Aunty and Asha Aunty. We had Subha Aunty and one more Jayashree Aunty also helping us out today.
- We got off to a very good start. We were very happy to see our friends returning after the summer. They have really grown a lot! We also welcomed quite a few new children. All the new kids seemed to be at ease and interacted quite well. We hope as a group we will have a lot of fun during the year on our alphabet safari.
- We started off with 3 Om's followed by Sahanavavathu and Vakrathunda Mahakaya.
- We did the Great God Ganapathy bhajan. Jayashree Aunty was pleasantly surprised to find that all our returning kids remembered it very well!! We are sure the new children will also pick it up very soon and then we will learn more new Bhajans this year.
- We did the Ganesha out of modelling clay. They are all quite independent this year and could do it without much help. They all seemed quite pleased with the result. Some of them even prayed to their very own Ganesha :-) Hopefully Ganesha reached home in the same state without losing shape :-)
- We told the story of Ganesha going to Kubera's house for a party and eating up all the food and still feeling hungry. Ask your children to tell you how to make Ganesha feel full.
- The teachers will bring all the supplies the children will need for the class. Please don't send in any backpacks, bags, crayons etc.
- Please make sure the children have a good breakfast, and go to the restroom before they come to class.
