A little girl went to a store and found a box of crayons fighting each one of them complaining that they did not like the other. When she got home the little girl used the different crayons to draw a picture of sun shining brightly in sky with grass and trees and flowers using many different colors. Finally as the crayons saw the complete picture they started appreciating one another as special and unique. Moral : Only by appreciating one another's individuality and living in brotherhood spirit can we complete the picture of life.

Section 1
Another beautiful Sunday Morning with a dash of rain. The classes were divided and we settled down slowly. Our little friends who reached early even helped us set the class. We began with the 3 Om's , followed by slokas. we practiced the 1st stanza of the Gita Chanting and surprisingly many of them had learned the lines. Ruchi auntys yoga stretches warmed us up for Bhajans. We did the action bhajan great god ganapathy and had great fun. We revised last weeks alphabet safari and kids briefed Ruchi aunty about A for Aspiration and Arjuna's story. We learnt about B for Brotherhood, played the envelope game and listened to the crayon story with much enthusiasm. We had a circle time where we talked about the whole world as one family - Vasudaiva Kudumbakam .
After all the excitement , we relaxed and calmed ourselves with Likita japa. We ended with closing prayers and the mission pledge.
Section 2
Today we had a new class of smaller group of kids as they were divided into two sections. We welcomed 4 new friends to our class today. We owe a special mention to Hema Aunty (Sanjay's mom) for helping out in the class.
We started the day with our opening prayers and shlokas. At Gita time it was surprising to see around half the kids in the class did their gita practise at home as they could chant the verse pretty well. We would appreciate if all of you could visit the link of bhagawat gita and practice the verse at home.
Shell game is our kids favorite and we learn to keep silent for long. This was followed by the story of crayons and how all the different crayons are needed to make a pretty picture. The envelope game was an interesting one to watch the kids. In the game all kids got a sealed envelope. Some envelopes had stickers and some empty. However as the kids carefully opened their envelopes to check for their gift they discovered some friends did not have any gift. Some spontaneously shared and some friends shared when they found their friends did not get stickers. As all kids shared their stickers all were happy.
We then did our likita japa. This was followed by doing a recap of colors and numbers in Sanskrit. We also did look ammd identify numbers in Sanskrit. Then we had bhajan time when we sang our favorites. Finally we concluded with closing prayers and pledge.
