October 9th Balvihar Class

We met after a week's gap but luckily there was no settling in problem with the kids. They were all fantastic. There were quite a number of kids absent but we had a fun class with the kids present. Our normal class schedule began with prayers and most of the kids could recite on their own. We also learnt a new shlokam about Ganesha since it was after the Navratri.

ekadantam mahakayam

lambodaragajananam,

vighnanasakaram devam

herambam pranamamyaham.

This is a little difficult to recite and kids will get it when they practice a little more. We proceeded with our Geetha Chanting Chapter 12.

We began with our shloka 1. We also told the kids they should practice at home.

Today's Chapter was chapter 4 which talks about the letter B and stands for Brotherhood. We gave some examples about how we should respect each other and help each other and did an activity sheet about that. The kids were given the sheet to take home.

We also talked about an important event; the CORD walkathon on October 23rd at the Mercer County park. As we all know it is an important and it would help a lot if more and more people registered. Please make sure you can register and also talk about it to your friends.
