Story Time Focus: 'M' for Mom and 'N' for Nobility

We started reviewing all the Shlokas learnt so far and spent some time memorizing the Krishna Shloka and Hanuman Shloka. And many of them managed to do it in class. But regular practice at home will be very helpful. We did the Geeta chanting earlier so that they have more focus. We started the sixth shloka today. They have to memorize 8 verses by April. Those who have been coming regularly to class have memorized at least the first 2 verses.

We did the letters M for Mom and N for Nobility today. To illustrate, Asha Aunty told them the story of the noble cow, which is captured by a lion, but pleads for sometime to go feed its calf and come back. The lion is surprised when the cow actually comes back as promised and lets it go.

They enjoyed making flowers out of tissue paper to give to their parents.

They were all very eager to do Likhita Japa. We had got special gel pens for them to write and they wrote Ram within an outline of a Hanuman picture. They were all so enthusiastic and did not want to stop. So we had no time to practice the Bhajan. We will continue in the next class.
