Hari OM All,
It was bright and sunny morning and we had a great session of Kindergarten Balvihar with the little friends in their best behaviour. Thanks to the parents for practising shlokas with the children they were wonderful as we chanted shlokas we learnt last year. The week starting October 7th we will start with new shlokas and learning our Bhagwat Geeta.

- Lady Bug Search - To search lady bug with magnifying glass among lot of miniature animals.
Section 1
Meera Aunty brightened our day with morning prayers in her beautiful voice. We enjoyed the tale of Three Questions(Who is God? Where is God?What does He do?) and did a ladybug search activity.We then had a quiet time with the shell game. We also got time to start a new bhajan "Great God Ganapati". We then did closing prayers.
Section 2
We started the class chanting OM followed by our opening prayers. As we chanted the shloka we hardly made any mistakes and as part of Kindergarten class we took the next step of learning the meaning of the shlokas Om sahanavavatu. We then continued to chant our other shlokas and bhajans. Then the kids got very curious with the story about the king who asked his minister to answer the three questions. The story time became very interactive as children came up answering god was everywhere and god makes us happy and tells us good from bad. With our craft of identifying miniature lady bug we learnt that we need a proper instrument like the magnifying glass to see clearly and identify that god is everywhere but we can see him only when we have a sweet mind.
Finally before we said our goodbye we met up parents. We would like emphasize we would welcome parent participation in the class and parents who are interested can sign up. Please ask one of the sevikas and they can help you with the dates.
