Section 1.
This class we missed Reshma aunty however thank you parent volunteers for helping out. Wish You All A Very Happy Pongal.I could see boys and girls wearing colorful dresses. After the slokas and bhajans we went to our next letter in alphabet safari J for Japa. We learnt how Japa helped Ratnakar from being a Bandit to a great man Valmiki who wrote Ramayana. We all enjoyed concentration game and then did Likhita Japa, We also took coloring sheets for Pongal home to color.

Section 2.
We had a very participative class. The girls and boys chanted their shlokas and bhajans all by themselves. We learnt a new bhajan khate bhi raam kaho which children loved to join in a circle and sing. We also learnt the fourth verse of gita today. We discussed how we celebrate Pongal/Makar Sankaranti/Lohri in India. Then we did coloring of our pongal coloring sheet. Then we discussed the letter J for Japa and did oral japa of "OM Namo Narayana". To show how we concentrate better and japa helps in concentration we divided the kids into 3 groups and played memory game. We ended the day with our closing prayers and Pledge.
