Section 1
We thank Hrydaya’s mom for helping us with this week’s class. We started with slokas and bhajans. Children really enjoy bhajans. We did practice Gita and want children to practice more. We are unable to move forward with Gita as children forget the verses that were taught the previous week. Children do enjoy chanting and some children are really good at it. We moved on to our next letter of our alphabet safari N for nobility. We listened to the story of noble cow and discussed the lives of noble people like Mother Teresa, Gandhiji, Martin Luther King. We tried to draw about these stories in our coloring books till it was time for closing prayers.

Section 2
It was a nice day and all the children where more calm and waiting to be back in balavihar. We could see increased participation for the children in the class and we realised that they have started chanting shlokas and gita at home. Some of the children have to really catch up. We are practising by asking kids in groups of 3 or 4 every verse of gita. We encourage kids to say the gita verses atleast once a day. We have 4 classes of balavihar for practise before the gita chanting competition. We then jumped into alphabet safari and heard the stories about Nobility. We also encouraged kids to illustrate the stories in the coloring book. We had a short skit played by Sanjana, Dhiksha, Gahan and Aakash about how it is important to help your friends and be nice to them. This made the class more interesting. We ended the day with closing prayers and pledge.
