Section 1

This week we have a new friend joining in. His name is Sirian. Thankyou Savitha (Navya's mom) for helping us out. Children need to practice Gita at home to get ready for competition.

We talked about why we are doing R and S before P and Q in the alphabet safari. We all discussed "Doing the Right Thing" and why we should do it even if nobody else is doing it . We listened to the story of "the Rock on the Road" where the little boy does the right thing by moving the rock on the road. We also got the color the coloring page R. We discussed about Mahasivaratri and made shivalinga out of clay. Thankyou Vasudha aunty and Meena aunty for the clay.

Section 2

This Sunday was bright and sunny and we were happy to start our day with our bright and enthusiastic friends. Thank you to Om's mother for helping us out. After shlokas and bhajans we did gita chanting. We had a bigger group chanting all seven verses. The number is on the rise but we have friends who know upto 3, 4 and 5 verses who are catching up really fast. Keep up the great work.  In our alphabet safari we talked about letter R for Righteousness explaining how we would talk about P and Q later. We spoke about the shiva ratri festival and all little friends made little shivalingam out of model clay.   We had closing prayers and pledge at the auditorium today.  Meet you all next Sunday and remember we are headed for a long break after next Sunday so please make sure all of you attend our next week class and collect Gita chanting CD from the book store if you have not.
